Teju is active with large progressive and environmental organizations, grassroots social justice nonprofits and radical philanthropists as a consultant. She has a particular focus on intersectional movement building, climate & environmental justice, issues of race/culture, the arts, as well as equitable narratives & futures. In the past she has been a fellow with the Hemera Foundation, Recess Art, and the European Commission. She has also worked with EarthJustice, LeaderSpring Center, and The Whitman Institute. Speaking & Workshops

Teju has spoken at a number of conferences around the globe about her research and work as a geographer and activist, including the Nora Conference, Princeton University’s AAS Graduate Conference and the Third International Conference of Young Urban Researchers. Writing & Poetry

Teju is an avid poet and writer with a passion for covering timely social justice topics. Her work has been published in The Guardian, The Black Youth Project, Medium and more. She has also performed as a poet for the 7th Annual Afropeans Conference in Lisbon and Encounters: Diasporan Narratives of Resistance, Art and Utopia in Vienna.
